This policy explains what BLACKhouse Bookkeeping LLC ("we", "us") does with information you send through this website. It covers this website only — it does not cover the separate engagement agreement that governs bookkeeping work for clients.
What we collect
The only information this website collects is what you type into the contact form and choose to send us:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The service you selected, if you selected one
- Anything you write in the message field
We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors. If you never submit the form, we do not collect anything about you.
Why we use it
We use what you send solely to reply to you and to discuss whether we are a fit for your bookkeeping needs. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list or send you newsletters.
Who else touches it
Two service providers are involved in operating this website. Each may process limited information on our behalf:
- Netlify hosts this website and processes contact form submissions, storing them and forwarding them to us by email. Like nearly all web hosts, its servers log basic request data such as IP address and browser type.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site. Loading them causes your browser to contact Google's servers, which receives your IP address.
We do not share your information with anyone else except where we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages stay in our email records for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the enquiry. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email charlesblack@blackhousebookkeeping.com and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law, and we will honour those rights where they apply.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send bank credentials, account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive financial details through the contact form. Once we are working together we will set up a secure method for exchanging documents.
Children
This website is meant for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
